Jamie had a birthday on the 22nd Sept. and he bought hisself a present.

Yes you guest it a new boat!!!

Pop and i went on Saturday anhelp him christen it, “KARLOO” with a nice bottle of champagne.

We had a lovely day on Lake Illawarra with Bailey and Jamie.

Godd luck Jamie with your new boat hope you and Bails have a great time Pop and I enjoyed the day, it bought back memories of our first Careel, “Calypso” I am sure you all remember it.

Howdy all,

Thank you all for the wonderful banner you painted for me, it really made my day! Last weekend Harry took me away for my Birthday to Boomerang near Foster – where we stayed with 6 other friends in a little house on the beach, it was such lovely weather and so much healthy food. I had a little party at a bar in Surry Hills on Saturday night where i was spoilt rotton! All my girlfriends chipped in a brought me a big beautiful black bag and some other bits and bobs. Harry got me some  new clothes and flowers and we went to dinner last night to El Bulli a tapas resturant in the city and tonight we are having dinner at mattys with dad. All in all i had a wonderful 25th Birthday. Harry and i are moving into our new unit on the headland at North Bondi (Ben Buckler) on Monday the 26th. We cant wait, so exciting. Once we are in, we will arrange to have you all over for a nice dinner one night. Harry has just finished recording his new EP – so once it is mastered ill post it up so you can all hear it. Glad everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Here are some pictures of Pauls trip with Chris on the Namoi in March 2010. They had great fishing and they bought back pictures as proof.

The camp looks pretty good too, so good that the Yowie wanted in and haunted them one night.

Update from Willoughby!

Hey everyone, glad to see Matt and Bridie have joined the party. Your new place sounds great we look forward to seeing it soon I hope.

Jack sat for his entrance exam to St Aloyisius today. I think he has done alright although if he got in I personally would fall off my perch. Not that I do not think Jack is fantastic of course … but tests probably at this stage not a strong suit.

He did take ownership of his electric guitar today and is showing the usual obsession with a new pursuit and has been playing all afternoon – I am sure the neighbours are thrilled with the latest musical talent discovered over the fence. We have had to put in place a guitar curfew!! Ash is looking on with much interest (of course) and is taking up the role of lead singer and he also has all the moves…pretty good actually. I will attempt a small video clip and post next week.  I am sure you are all waiting with baited breath for that treat.

Well we have a new bunny in the house. She is of course adorable and is named Marley. She is a naughty little girl and already perfecting her escape routes out of the backyard. Fingers crossed she is not successful we all could not do the lost bunny. I will get a better picture but you get the idea cute, fluffy, big ears etc.

 

Well preparations are underway for Friday night with girlfriends arriving from both Brisbane and Perth to join me in the big event that is George Micheal! yes the eighties were mighty fine and I am happy and proud to be excited about reliving the good old days of flicks, tiered skirts and elastic belts! and the odd bit of fluro of course.

Hi Everyone! Bridie here, Matt has requested that I write on here for the both of us because he is too lazy 😛 So here goes:

As most of you know, Matt and I have moved into our own little apartment in Newport. We are LOVING it! Things are coming together nicely (although we still need to buy a bedframe!) but this time around we’ve been getting creative! Matt has used his carpentry skills on our new coffee table which we bought from vinnies – I will put up some photos later – we painted a chest of drawers and Matt even has a bit of talent as a gardener!

We had Paul, Shani and Harry visit last night and they all loved it (i think)! But we had a lovely night catching up.

Matts work is going really well. He is really enjoying it and getting organised and on top of everything. His new ute has just made it all worthwhile for him!

We’re both working hard which can get kind of frustrating at time – especially when i work a full week of night shifts so we only see the other person when they are sleeping! Haha. But fingers crossed those weeks have passed!!

Matty is planning a snowboarding trip with some friends to New Zealand in August which he is really excited about. And I will be starting a new career soon… Well studying for one anyway – Primary School Teaching… Wonder how I’ll go at that??!!

So slowly but surely we’re getting our little life in Newport sorted and we hope you can come and visit soon! Or we will come to you! Miss you all, Matty & Bridie xxx

P.S Pop – Thanks so much for the chopping board!!! It is unreal and looks sooo good in our kitchen!
